Prominent Valley business leaders recently gathered for the Arizona HealthPulse Breakfast for the first look at findings from Arizona HealthPulse, a research report connecting Arizonans' health and performance to the companies they work for.
The presentation of the Arizona HealthPulse results were prefaced by keynote speaker Richard H. Carmona, M.D., M.P.H., FACS, 17th Surgeon General of the United States (2002-2006), whose compelling look at significant national health trends laid the framework for why Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona (BCBSAZ) funded this survey of Arizonans' health.
The key findings from the Arizona HealthPulse report were then presented by Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona's Gary D. Smethers, M.D., Senior Vice President of Health Services and Chief Medical Officer, and Sandy Gibson, Executive Vice President of External Operations. They revealed the state of Arizonans' health, how employee health impacts productivity, and what employers can do about it.
